Various efforts made by Regency Government (Pemkab) Manokwari to boost and improve the economic empowerment of the community. One of them is supporting the presence of banking institutions that support the economy as well as development in the capital of West Papua.

The proof, Regent Paul Demas, Mandacan inaugurated the Rural Bank (BPR) Modern Papua on Jalan Trikora Wosi, on Tuesday (5/9).

According to the Regent, banking institutions were established under the Act banks, banks are business entities that raise funds from the community.

Regent explained, the presence of BPR Modern Papua adds to the “passion” of the economy and investment in Manokwari. “This is in line with the development of the Regency Manokwari as the capital of West Papua. In addition, in line with the vision and mission of Pemkab Manokwari, especially in the improvement of economic empowerment society, “he explained.

“With the expectation of BPR Modern Papua can contribute to help Pemkab Manokwari in carrying out regional development and improving community economy. This is accompanied by providing the best service for the community and helping the small and medium business actors within increase his business. “he continued.

President Director of PT Modern Multiartha Sonny Waplau explained it is ready to synergize and appreciate various parties both government and banking institutions that have contributed positively to the presence of BPR Modern Papua in Manokwari. “We are very grateful to all the parties has helped establish the BPR Modern Papua in Manokwari so that it can helping to increase regional development and improving the economy community, “he said.

Meanwhile, representative (Papua-West Papua) OJK Steven Parinussa explained, OJK continues to conduct strict supervision for every banking institution in working area.

“We continue to closely monitor the banking institutions in the region this is in West Papua, there are four BPR and so far there has been no violation done or found, “he said.
